About this blog

First of all I would like to say that I've opened this blog with a great pleasure of sharing the bits and pieces of information I have gathered through the years, recipes, DIY ideas and every other thing that comes through my mind. Unfortunately we live in a high-speed era when we don't have time to cook or to eat properly....many of us hit that, juggling between job, home, children, cleaning, shopping, errands and so on we find ourselves eating on the way. We are surrounded by all kind of types of processed food, instant food, take away food, pre-packed food, microwave food...great pictures on the packs but horrendous aspect in reality, very tasty but in the same time addictive ( for example sweets that have a high content of sugars create addiction). We are surrounded by commercials that say: clean your car, clean you washing machine, deep clean on fabrics, clean your carpets...but what about us?!
And we tend to forget one of the most important things: OUR OWN BODIES! We spend thousands a year on products to clean everything around us but we forget about ourselves. And everyday we put all these types of food in our bodies, and we think if is tasty is good for us, and if we are tired has nothing to do with it and we should buy more things to keep us going, and if we don't sleep well is something to do with us, and if we are constipated or have stomach problems again is something wrong with us, if we have unbalanced hormones, allergies,migraines,bad skin again has nothing to do with what we put in our mouths...and what we do? We buy more things to keep us going, more chemicals, more pills. Some of us realize it when we end up at the doctor having diabetes, high cholesterol, some stroke,morbid obesity and so on. Ok, and what we should do?! We should cut down the junk food, tabacco and alcohol and replace it with fresh juices made at home, fresh vegetables and fruits, teas and every now and then to detox our bodies using nothing more than those fruits and vegetables which, in some combinations eliminate the toxins from our bodies and give us the right boost of energy.
I really hope that through this page I will learn from other people and also inspire others with posts,articles and ideas that anytime can be verified on different sources.
